An ultra-orthodox bachelor and his widowed father share an apartment, a cynical humor and a quest for love and a little motherly warmth in the cold world of god. This delicious gentle drama follows a shy yeshiva boy and his closely-knit, argumentative family, living in one of the neighborhoods of present-day Jerusalem. He meets an older widow just as the family is trying to marry him off, while his widowed father has a little fling of his own. The lives of the extended Shtisel family, a warm and broken ultra-orthodox family, integrated in the big and desperate love story.
